Our first visit was to the Columbia Edgewater Country Club and Golf Course. The room happened to be set up for a reception that night.
Promising, until we read the fine print about how we had to warn guests not to wear jeans, or they won't be allowed in. Terrible. That's the main reason why I don't play golf. On to the next location, the Acadian Ballroom on artsy NE Alberta street. Too funky for Mom. Pretty good for Shannon. Dad asks if potted palms are included.
Dad drives us to the next spot. Kennedy School gymnasium, a local McMenamin's hotspot.
First leary of the McMenamin's wedding machine, found the gymnasium pleasant and fun.
Then off to Bridgeport Brewery, for a rehearsal dinner option. Great space. Great art. And right on the trolley line!
Stay tuned for visits to OMSI, the Forestry Center and the ballroom attached to the Portland Art Museum.
