A trip to a local bridal shop proved to be, well, a boring frump festival...all the dresses seem to have the same issue... "the top is nice...too bad the skirt is made of feathers." or "I like the cut of this dress, but too bad it's encrusted in rhinestones."...Why can't there be a bridal shop with dresses that are inspired by old school? For example...
I don't know if you've had any luck yet, but I just found out about some NYC tailor who can pretty much create anything you'd like for a reasonable amount of money. Apparently many, many women go to him for re-creations of designer dresses. Take that fabulous Audrey dress (oh god, I love her) and see what he can do. Oh, and a trip out here to see us wouldn't totally suck, right? And here's the best part: the tailor's name is Hong Kong Tailor Jack. Only in NYC...
