silkscreened coasters..

yesterday i headed to AIR, to see how coasters would take to silkscreening. I think I'll definitely use a darker color...the coaster at the bottom of the pic is a set of 4 coasters that spell out "pittsburgh" when you line them up. There's one of the Warhol bridge; and one of the Duquesne incline.

The major problem, though, is they're not really functional. They'll probably get ruined when you actually use them as a coaster. So, now comes the exploration of lacquers, fixatives, and acrylic mediums (thanks, lindsay!)
