Having a light table is a luxury. Usually, i tape whatever i'm tracing to the living room window and use the natural light..this causes sore arms and limits me only to day time tracing.
I researched how to make your own light table and found that it wasn't that hard..as long as you have power tools (which we do not)...so Mark and I headed off to Construction Junction (quite possibly my favorite store in Pittsburgh) and searched for something that could be converted into a light table. Mark spied this utility sink and we jerry-rigged it to make it a functioning light table!
Utility sink...scrubbed clean.
Drain snipped out to allow cord to be threaded thru.
Clip Lamp was attached to some random brackets we had...socket of the clip lamp set nicely in the drain.
Plexi-Glass was velcroed to the top of the sink.
Tracing fun!!

I love love love it! Damn that's a good idea.
Do your legs fit under it like a table?
i definitely have to ride side saddle with the legs..but they come off, so i can put it on the floor if i want to!
