pizza update.

ok...so...last night...wasn't exactly smooth sailing. after letting my dough sit out for the allotted 2 hours, i floured my hands, re-read the instructions..simply balance the dough on your two fists and start slowly hopping the disc around your fists, stretching as you go (there's a HUGE joke in there..but..my parents read this. Sorry, Mom)..anyways...yeah..my fists went RIGHT THRU the dough. so, now, i was wearing, oh, dough handcuffs. SWEET.

This is where I dropped the first dough disc, after the fisting incident. (So. Many. Jokes)

Here's the first pie. Not bad. Although the kitchen was so smokey at this point, it was hard to tell if it was done. (Excess cornmeal + Hot Oven: A ton of smoke)

The pizza stone, after the second pizza. Cracked in 3 pieces, in the oven. thanks alot Haeger Natural Stone.

Oh no! Pizza stone!? What the?
I use the farm pizza dough recipe from Joanna and it's gooood. Brian does a better job tossing the dough, and we both like the dough better after a couple days rest.
Can you get the Muir Glen pizza sauce in PA? Because I LOVE it. Like, eat it out of the can with a spoon yummy.

Also, love the new header.

try the farm recipe - the dough is easy to work with and has great flavor. alice waters knows what she's talking about! i'm glad they are sending you a new stone, that is crazy that it broke.

so pork shoulder and oysters, eh? sounds intriguing.
