Road trip highlights...
Checking out Julia Child's Kitchen at the Smithsonian.
Ridiculously good Kobe beef burger and deepfried lemon slices at Palena in DC. Thanks Rod and Shannon for the tip!
Hashbrowns, chunked, topped & smothered at Wafflehouse.
Boxed lunch from Sally Bell's Kitchen.
Sweet, 1945 retro action at The Seafoam Inn.
Blustery day on the North Carolina Coast. Great beers and friendly peeps at The Outer Banks Brewery (America's first windpowered brewery..CARTER. take note!) followed by oysters and shrimp and awesome staff at Awful Arthur's Raw Bar.
One word. Biscuitville. They have a little window where you can watch a woman knead out the biscuit dough.
Tracking down Allen & Son's for some of the best North Carolina style barbeque. Banana Pudding on Fridays. Lucky us.
Superb ribs at The Galax Smokehouse in Galax, Virginia.

oh man, that makes me hungry. sounds like SO MUCH FUN...road trips are the best. i still can't get over how close the states are on your side of the country. i'll let carter know about the brewery, seems like PT would be a candidate for a wind powered anything.
