Mark left for Qatar last night...I believe he's still en route, as it takes 13 hours to get there from DC...it was a quiet night last night, as I started moving all the bookshelves into the new guest room (the wall of books looks pretty nice!) Next project is our bedroom...
I'm checking out this dresser tonight...
and i think i'm painting the room a dark gray...white moldings...and how bout this dresser in either a bright yellow? or apple green? or what about a super turquoise?
I assume I would sand this piece of furniture...would I need to strip it? what does stripping entail (hardy har...i'm SERIOUS)...

I'm so expert, but if you lightly sand the surface, you shouldn't have to strip. I think you would only need to strip if you were going to re-stain. But you might want to check with someone who knows, you know, for real :)
um, I meant to write, "I'm NO expert." geesh.
I think April is right. I just heard someone saying that she didn't even sand just put primer on. I don't think you have to strip though.
So fun! I can't wait to see the next phase, are you going to be painting while Mark is gone?
thanks guys!! and you are right...i did some research on apartmenttherapy.com PLUS Lindsay, here at the mattress factory, knew what type of primer to get..EVEN what type of sandpaper..so you guys were SPOT ON!! and expert.
yes! painting with the help of my friend Jess (also CMU)...pulling up carpet...the works!!
