Jennifer was in town on business (her seattle firm has a pittsburgh office)..and we had a GREAT time toodling around pittsburgh. We visited the Mattress Factory and got to get a sneak peak into the Greer Lankton exhibit that's currently being built...we hit a flea market where we're pretty sure one of the tables was selling alcohol..then off the strip for Wholey's Fish Sandwiches and La Prima espresso (we were surrounded by people speaking italian.) And then a quick trip to Rita's to try some Pittsburgh Italian Ices. The night was complete with Shakespeare in the park for the Nine Mile Watershed Run fundraiser, complete with a recorder band (yes. a band made up of only recorder players.)
Perusing in the strip. This box of bloaters made me think of Mark. (who comes home next week!)
Rain at the Shakespeare event! oh no! Thank goodness forEast End Witte!
The sky clears up just in time for excerpts from A Midsummer's Night Dream.
The sky turns a beautiful pink and the fireflies start to come out, amongst the tiki torches.
