It has been a whirlwind week getting ready for Tom and Aymara's wedding. I dusted off the old spanish dictionary, due to the arrival of Aymara's mom and sister. My spanish was totally rusty and frankly, pretty bad...but after a few days, we all could communicate very well...mainly because Aymara's mom and sister were SO patient. and SO nice. and just plain FUN. Here are some pics I took, including some shots of the meet & greet bbq, the night before the wedding.
I promised Mom to take some pics of my decorations for the BBQ. Can't get enough of fake birds and poetry garland.
Food table. More birds. More poetry. Que romantica!
Aymara getting ready with custom made veil from Panama.
Quick shot of the ceremony, held at PNC park (where the Pirates play baseball.)
The view from the reception, held in a private suite!
Aymara's uber cute family...
Tom & his equally cute parents...
New friends enjoying the box seats, hot dogs and crackerjacks.
mmm. hotdogs taste SO good at a baseball game.
My attempt at centerpieces for the reception. They're no Francoise Weeks, but they turned out cute.
Enjoying the game and each other.
